Experience law in practice
Practical legal experience is embedded in our law degree courses, and we also offer extracurricular opportunities to gain Qualifying Work Experience. You can help the local community access free legal advice through initiatives such as our CLOCK Legal Companion Scheme or working in our pro bono Legal Clinic.
Paid work placements
When studying law at university you'll have the opportunity to take a year-long paid placement where you can apply your learning, build your work experience, life skills and network.
Students in the past have completed placements at Oracle, HM Prison Service, the Home Office, IBM, the House of Lords and Acumen Business Law.
Learn from the experts
Our courses reflect current and practice in innovative ways. You'll be taught by a team who often balance teaching with external positions in law firms and chambers, and research.
This brings emphasis on exploring the relationship between law and justice in a social context, as well as networking and employment opportunities to our students.
